Section 1: Own Damage
Any accidental loss or damage to your car caused by any of the following will be covered: Fire, explosion, self-ignition or lightning; Burglary housebreaking or theft; Riot or strike; Earthquake (fire and shock damage); Flood, typhoon, hurricane, storm, tempest, inundation, cyclone, hailstorm, frost; Accidental external means; Malicious act; Terrorist activity; Whilst in transit by road, rail, inland waterway, lift, elevator or air; Landslide or rockslide.

Section 2: Liability to Third Parties
Legal liability arising out of bodily injury to and/or property damage of third parties caused due to an accident involving your car will be covered.

Section 3: Personal Accident Cover
In the unfortunate event of your (owner-driver) death and/or permanent total disability arising out of an accident while travelling in our car, we will pay the specified Sum Insured to your legal heir.

You can also opt for the following extensions as part of the Private Car Package Policy:

• Loss of accessories
• Legal liability to paid driver, cleaner or any worker
• Personal Accident Cover for the occupants

In consideration of payment of additional premium, it is hereby agreed and declared that the Motor Insurance Policy extends to cover the depreciation amount, partly or fully, on assessed damaged parts allowed for replacement during repairs in the event of a Partial Loss to the Insured Vehicle, under the Motor Insurance.

Endorsement Wordings

In consideration of payment of additional premium, it is hereby agreed and declared that the Motor Insurance Policy extends to cover the consequential damage to the internal child parts of the engine of the Insured Vehicle arising out of water ingression / leakage of lubricating oil; and / or damage to gearbox of the Insured Vehicle arising out of leakage of lubricating oil due to accidental means. Under this cover, we will compensate the customer for the following:

• Repair or replacement of the internal child parts of the engine such as pistons, connecting rods, crankshaft and cylinder head
• Repair or replacement of the internal parts of the gearbox box such as gears or shafts in the gearbox housing
• Labour cost incurred by you to overhaul the damaged engine and gearbox

Endorsement Wordings

In consideration of payment of additional premium, it is hereby agreed and declared that in the event of the Insured Vehicle meeting with a Total Loss (including theft) / Constructive Total Loss – we, at our discretion, may use one of the following two options to settle a claim under ‘Vehicle Replacement Advantage:

• New Vehicle: We will replace the Insured Vehicle with a new equivalent or near the equivalent vehicle of similar make, model, features, specifications and colour subject to the availability in the open market, inclusive of the following:

1. Private Car Package Policy covering the new vehicle
2.  The cost of registration, including road tax and Octroi payable, for the new vehicle applicable to the location where the Insured Vehicle is registered

Any disbursement under this option will be regarded as a full and final settlement of our liability under the Motor Insurance Policy. Upon settlement of the claim under this cover, the Motor Insurance Policy shall expire.

Cash Settlement: In the event of a new equivalent or near equivalent vehicle not being available in the market due to non-production, short supply or due to Bajaj Allianz’s inability to procure such vehicle due to any reason whatsoever, the customer will be paid a cash benefit equal to 5% of IDV in addition to the actual difference between the original ex-showroom price of the damaged Insured Vehicle and the IDV.

Endorsement Wordings

In consideration of payment of additional premium, it is hereby agreed and declared that the Motor Insurance Policy extends to pay compensation as per the following scale for Bodily Injury and / or death sustained by any occupant other than the paid driver, attendant or cleaner whilst mounting into, dismounting from or travelling in the Insured Vehicle and caused by violent, accidental, external and visible means which independently of any other cause shall within three calendar months of the occurrence of such injury.

• Death (Nature of Injury) - 100% of the specified sum insured (Scale of Compensation).
  
• Loss of two limbs or sight of both eyes or one limb and sight of one eye (Nature of Injury) - 125% of the specified sum insured (Scale of Compensation).
  
• Loss of one limb or sight of one eye (Nature of Injury) - 50% of the specified sum insured (Scale of Compensation).
  
• Permanent Total Disablement from injuries other than named above (Nature of Injury) - 125% of the specified sum insured (Scale of Compensation).

You will be entitled, during the Period of Entitlement to Benefits, to the actual cost of renewing / replacing Wheel Rim / Rims of the same make & specification in the event of one or more Wheel Rim, (subject to a maximum of 4 alloy Wheel Rim / Rims in the Period of Entitlement to Benefits) having deformed or damaged rendering it / them functionally unusable.

You will be entitled, during the Period of Entitlement to Benefits, to the actual cost of damage to rubber, plastic, rexene or leather upholstery and other non-metal parts of the vehicle, caused by rodent bite.

Claims Process

• Claims under “Motor Insurance Package Insurance Policy” and “Drive Assure ELITE” as well as “Wheel Rim” and “Damages Due to Rodents” are to be intimated at “Volkswagen Insurance Services” call centre on toll-free number 1800-209-6262.
• Customers are to provide policy number details at the call centre for registering claims.
• Claims settled by Bajaj Allianz with dealer subject to terms and conditions.
• It is recommended to inform customer availability of add-ons by workshop during insurance renewal  (1 & 2 years old).
